Last summer, we collaborated with director Chris Marks to make this short film for an entry into the Edinburgh International Film Festival. Since it was seventy years old, the theme was ’70’ and interestingly the common distance in competitive archery between target and archer is 70m! And with that (boom!) we won the Best use of Theme Award. It was a pleasure working with Chris, as well as Stuart Barby who is Scotland’s top archer, and we tried to capture the minutia of details in the preparation in the sport through the use of slow-motion and macro close-ups with some canon glass and an FS-700 camera we had hired.
